Like many hemp stores, we are big believers in plant based solutions as opposed to pharmaceuticals. Having personally watched the struggle of several family members and close friends, getting this operation going was a priority to us. Years ago I heard a quote that resonated with me, "Once I started making investments based on changing people's lives, I felt full clarity." This is the basis and driving force behind Elevation Hemp Company. We strive to educate and inform people daily. What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis, a plant with a rich history as a medicine going back thousands of years. Today, the therapeutic properties of CBD are being tested and confirmed by scientists and doctors around the world. A safe, non addictive substance, CBD is one of more than a hundred "phytocannabinoids" that are unique to cannabis and endow the plant with its robust therapeutic profile.
CBD is closely related to another important medicinally active phytocannabinoid: tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the compound that causes the high that cannabis is famous for. These are two components of cannabis that have been most studied by scientists.
Unlike its cousin, THC, CBD has no psychoactive reactions.
